Alumni Christmas Quiz Success
Christmas is always a busy time for the postman & a day usually doesn’t go by when a Christmas card lands on your door mat. Just when my postman was thinking January would bring him a little bit of relief, his bag would be that bit lighter and his shift finished that little bit earlier, oh how wrong he was!
Having sold over 100 Christmas Alumni Quizzes, throughout the district and beyond, my door mat has been a buzz with answer sheets.
The Christmas Quiz has been our first fundraising event. I am happy to say that it has been a huge success. We have raised over £200, which will be divided equally between our two chosen charities, Rotary Polio Plus and Victim Support.
I would like to extend our thanks to everyone who took part, to those who made a donation and to all the clubs that have helped to sell this quiz on, we are grateful for all your help.
A clear demonstration of Rotary reaching that little bit further than your local club is that the winner is a non-Rotarian from Northampton.

Alumni Association wins 2009 Rotographic photography competition
At the recent District 1210 Conference held in Southport it was announced that the Alumni Association won the group entry category in this year's Rotographic competition organised by the Rotary Club of Stafford Knot.
